Baby Sound

Crying Baby Sounds
There is nothing more frustrating to a new mother than the sound of her baby crying. Babies cry for many reasons. They may feel overheated or too cold, have a wet or dirty diaper or they just plain want attention and company. If you listen carefully to the cry you will notice that the crying baby sounds are different with each need.
Some research has been done on crying baby sounds at a University in Germany. The researchers listened to the sounds of newly born infants of German and French mothers and discovered that the babies were crying in their native language. In the French language the end of a sentence goes up as in a question, where in the German language the end of sentence tends to go down. The babies tested seemed to mimic these sounds in their crying. The crying sounds of the French baby had the tendency to have a more questioning sound as opposed to the cry of the German baby whose cry tended to be more definite. The final decision of the researchers was that babies learn the language from their mother’s while still in the womb. Since the babies tested were newborn as well as two and three day old infants they could not have learned this anywhere else
The bond that forms between the fetus and the mother is carried over after birth. The mother can recognize the baby’s cry by the sound and knows what the baby needs. Crying baby sounds can sometimes be frustrating especially when the sounds are those of illness, pain or of an unknown source. A whining cry may be a call for help because the baby is uncomfortable due to a wet or dirty diaper or a minor pain. A loud screaming cry with thrashing arms and legs can be a temper tantrum or a sign of pain. If soothing and comfort by the mother is not enough to comfort the baby than a doctor’s help is needed.
Crying baby sounds can sometimes emulate the sounds of baby kittens or whining baby puppies.
